Self-catering holiday cottages in the heart of the North York Moors
Farndale Estate has eleven luxury self-catering cottages, farmhouses and steadings across the dale, sleeping two to twelve, each furnished to a five-star standard with free parking and Wi-Fi. Beyond the cottages sit two larger stays: Horn End, our spacious accommodation lodge for gatherings, and Snilesworth Lodge, a luxury shooting lodge for parties visiting the moor. All are within easy reach of the wild daffodil walk, Low Mill and Church Houses.

A newly renovated 2-bed cottage, both en-suite, full of character with its own garden and drive.
The Old Vicarage
The jewel in the crown — a refurbished 6-bedroom house with 5 double en-suites and a bunk room.
East Steading
Full of character with great views across the dale from every room, and a patio for evenings out.
West Steading
Open plan kitchen and lounge with double-height ceilings, exposed beams and a log burner.
The Stables
A single-level former stable block, still with the old stable doors, fully equipped throughout.
West View Cottage
Once a farmhouse — a cast iron range in the kitchen and a stone trough set into the bathroom.
Hollins Garth
Above the hamlet of Low Mill, with far-reaching views over the dale and parking for two cars.
The Coach House
Lavishly spacious for a couple, with glazed barn doors gazing out across the farmyard to the moor.
East View
A converted old school house — an open-plan, studio-style retreat for two.
The Byre
A newly converted 1-bed cottage, bursting with character, with its own garden and parking.
Mill Farmhouse
A refurbished 4-bed farmhouse full of original features, with its own garden and parking.
Camping Barn
A recently renovated barn for groups, sleeping up to 12 in shared accommodation.
Horn End
Our largest accommodation lodge, set high above the valley floor with uninterrupted views the length of the dale. Horn End sleeps up to fourteen across seven bedrooms, with a great room built for gathering — long tables, a wall of glass, and a hearth that stays lit from October through spring.
